Overview

Since 2006 ATS has been manufacturing rolls for steel plants. We manufacture hollow rolls from steel plates & seamless pipes. Solid rolls are made from forgings & castings. The rolls have specially engineered coatings which extend roll life and efficiency.

In past 12 years more than 800 rolls have been produced with Hard Chrome Plating, Tungsten Carbide coating as well as Spray & Fuse coatings. Rolls manufactured by us find application in Cold Rolling Mill, Hot Strip Mill and Pellet Plant.

Our roll manufacturing facility is equipped with bending machines, welding equipment, roll grinders, super polishing machines, HVOF coating systems and Annealing furnaces. To check & ensure high quality standards a wide range of calibrated testing instruments are used at every stage of production.

Longlife Coatings – The cutting Edge of ATS Rolls

Rolls manufactured by us have special protective coatings which give longer operating life and efficiency to the rolls. Selection of coating material & coating process know-how for these rolls is a combination of in-house R&D and inputs from global technology partners.

The solid, fabricated or cast rolls are subjected to high technology robotic coating in state-of-art acoustic spray booth. These coatings provide enhanced resistance to wear factors including corrosion, erosion, abrasion, impact & friction, thereby enabling superior performance & vastly increasing the service life of rolls.

Our roll manufacturing facility combines modern technology with manpower skill & expertise to meet the most demanding requirements of customers in terms of hardness, roundness, concentricity, ovality and surface finish.

WEARGRIP™ - ROT & Looper Roll

We are the pioneer in manufacturing ROT & Looper rolls using Spray & Fuse technology. ROT and Looper roll manufacturing facility was developed with in-house R&D and inputs from global partners.

The most crucial requirements of ROT roll are wear resistance and its capability to grip the steel strip consistently hence Weargrip brand name was given to these rolls. The Weargrip roll has a specially developed outer layer, the toughness of which is such that it has negligible wear even after long usage under heavy loads, high temperatures and continuous friction.

The ROT roll manufactured by us has a very stable geometry during its entire service life. This stability ensures minimum water retainment on strip surface thereby improving the reliability of measurement process.
